FREE NOW! Update: Apple.com published the latest iPhone OS 3.1.3 in Feb 2009. PCJournals installed before this version may crash on startup under this version (e.g., after upgrade). This problem is caused by the possible inconsistency issue of the database supported by iPhone OS 3.1.3. To resolve the problem, please reinstall PCJournals, no extra charge. If PCJournals is initially installed on iPhone OS 3.1.3, the crash should not exist at all.
We are very happy to tell you that we have released an iPhone application1, PCJournals v1.01. With this application, you can read Peace Corps stories more easily and more enjoyably. You can search stories by countries, email stories, bookmark your favorite stories, highlight your preferred countries, and even respond stories with your comments. Most of these features are novel and do not exist on our web site. We will continuously add more exciting features. Please move your mouse over the following features to see a quick snapshot of each feature. The application is available in iTune store. It is FREE of charge now. Please donate to help us maintain this app. If you have suggestions about how we might improve this application and extend it with new features, please send emails to tech@peacecorpsjournals.com. 1Application can also run on iPod Touch but it requires WiFi to load data from the server. 2Currently, comments are submitted to PeaceCorpsJournals.com only. Due to the permission configured by blog owners and/or the limitation that exists in some blog service providers (e.g., Blogger), we cannot guarantee that the blog owners will read the comments. To help readers and blog owners to be connected, we provide an EmailFollowup feature. Subscribers of this feature will be notified with a daily digest email that contains the updated (within the last 24 hours) stories and comments of the subscribed journals. To use this feature, simply click the ``Follow the blog" link that is shown while you are using our site. |
